Levius Ngahuia Hitchens-Chapman

My collection aspires to bring delightful colours and bold patterns into everyday life, enabling wearers to reveal their personality through clothing. Through the use of CLO3D software, I brought this collection to life in the digital space initially, avoiding the economic and waste issues associated with traditional fashion production processes, such as flat pattern making and toiling. Using the avatar-based Clo3D digital production technology allowed me to push these designs and creativity to refine details quickly, whilst seeing the changes in real-time. I then crafted my designs using unique pattern making and construction techniques to create long-lasting and durable pieces, thus adding value to the garments. Special attention was afforded to the finishings, the joyous fabric combinations, and the detailed design elements, alongside the collective vision of the collection. This collection focuses on merging digital production processes with traditional well-crafted garments, showing the potential of such a merger as a way forward in the fashion industry.
