Francesca Flynn is an Ōtautahi of Ngāi Tahu descent. Recently graduated from Otago Polytechnic in 2022. she is starting her career in the industry while showcasing her graduate collection at ID in Otepoti and now Miromoda 2023. Francesca places her focus on reconnecting to her iwi specifically through her tīpuna and connection to Aparima and Rakiura whilst intertwining her European heritage into her designs. Francesca's work reflects experimentation with textiles and the use of unconventional techniques such as glasswork and laser cutting and more recently traditional Māori weaving into modern conventional designs. 

Francesca Flynn will feature in Go Media Miromoda 2023.
