Jockey Brings Rugby To The Catwalk

Jockey recruits All Blacks and All Blacks Sevens players to take part at New Zealand Fashion Week Jockey is giving New Zealand Fashion Week (NZFW) goers a real treat this year by inviting some of our favourite All Blacks and All Blacks Sevens players to strut their stuff on the runway - in only their Jockeys. A selection of the All Blacks and All Blacks Sevens players will be making their catwalk debut in the latest Jockey range as part of the iconic underwear brand’s new ‘Supporting the Boys’ campaign. It will be a show like no other. “It’s definitely a New Zealand first to have All Blacks and All Blacks Sevens players take part in fashion week in only their underwear, but the guys really embraced the idea and got behind it. It’s a great chance for them to have some fun with the brand,” says Will Radford, New Zealand Marketing Manager for Jockey. While Jockey will be showcasing the range in every Resene Designer Collection Show at this year’s New Zealand Fashion Week, our heroes in black will be only walking in a special one-off appearance. “It’ll be a real delight, adding a new unexpected twist to the format. Having the players take part will give fashion lovers something they haven’t seen before at one of our Designer Selection Shows,” says Dame Pieter Stewart, Founder of NZFW. Jockey’s new female brand ambassador Nikki Phillips will also be joining the boys down the runway wearing the new feminine range of beautiful Parisian-inspired intimates. This will be her first New Zealand appearance since her recent nuptials to musician Dane Rumble. “It’s great that we have Nikki flying in from Sydney to accompany the boys in the show. With her previous modelling experience, I’m sure she will have plenty of tips for them on how to tackle the catwalk and make an impression,” says Radford. For the chance to attend this must-see event, buy a pair of men’s Jockeys at and go into the draw to win a double pass to see the boys walk the catwalk. You will even get to meet them backstage with the ultimate Jockey and New Zealand Fashion Week VIP experience. The ‘Supporting the Boys’ campaign showcases the All Blacks and All Blacks Sevens in the new Jockey Summer 2014 range, and will be available from August in Farmers, Rebel Sport and independent retailers and at the online store Jockey is the official off-field sponsor of the All Blacks and All Blacks Sevens. -Ends- For further information and product images please contact: Laine Sumner | 021 083 90995 | Official Jockey Hashtag: #JockeyNZ Official Jockey Supporting the Boys Campaign Image
