NEW ZEALAND FASHION WEEK PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION
New Zealand Fashion Week has your chance to get amongst the action at New Zealand’s longest running and most prestigious fashion event as part of the NZFW Official Photography Competition. This opportunity is not for the faint hearted – time is tight, deadlines need to be meet and the schedule is jam packed. There will be runway shows to shoot, partner activations to cover and an exclusive chance to head backstage during the week. This year there is also an incredible opportunity to receive mentorship from famed street photographer Dan Roberts - who created Threadslike and has shot for Vogue. Check out his Instagram here.
The NZFW Photography Competition is great opportunity to gain exposure and experience within the fashion and photography industry. With a plethora of opportunities to network, learn and ultimately further your career. Dedicated to supporting all aspects of the industry, NZFW is proud to see previous winners and finalists thriving in the industry, with many returning to the event as registered delegates.
Of the many entries, only 20 aspiring photographers will get the opportunity to attend and photograph NZFW, with only one finalist taking home the Grand Prize.
The Grand Prize:
We have a very special prize for this years winner; a EOS 77D 18-55 kit camera provided by Canon AND a place in Kingsize's studio workshop, "Kingsize Spring Break". This is a one week intensive programme where participants will be immersed in the art and craft of photography. They will learn theory and technique and have the opportunity to put what they learn into practise with daily assignments. Students will be introduced to different aspects of photography and leave with the tools to continue learning, as well as a portfolio of great images! Applications close Monday 30 July, 5pm.
